3D Models

Do you provide 3D models?

Yes! We maintain a growing collection of 3D-printable models—cases, stands, and other useful accessories—to support your Bitaxe setup. All files are, and always will be, free to download via our MakerWorld profile.

Can I use your 3D models for commercial purposes?

Yes, you're welcome to use, modify, and even sell prints of our models—commercial use is fully permitted, provided Bitaxe UK is clearly credited as the original creator. This reflects our commitment to the open-source values shared by Bitaxe and the wider Bitcoin community.

Why are the models free?

Simply put, open access drives innovation. Like Bitcoin, we believe in transparency, decentralisation, and giving back to the community. By sharing our 3D models freely, we aim to support open-source mining and lower the barriers for anyone wanting to get involved. Unlike others in the industry, we see this not just as important—but essential.

Where can I download the 3D files?

All our models are hosted on MakerWorld. We're always adding new designs and updates—follow us there to stay in the loop.

Do you credit other designers?

Absolutely. If a model wasn't designed by us, we always credit the original creator and link back to the source. We’re committed to supporting the wider maker and mining communities by giving credit where it’s due.

Open Source Miners United (OSMU)

What is Open Source Miners United (OSMU)?

Open Source Miners United (OSMU) is a community-led initiative dedicated to developing open-source Bitcoin mining hardware, including the Bitaxe series of miners.

Is Bitaxe part of OSMU?

Yes, Bitaxe is an open-source mining project developed under the OSMU initiative. The hardware and firmware are designed to be accessible, modifiable, and supported by the community.

Where can I find the open-source files for Bitaxe?

The PCB designs, firmware, and documentation are available on the official Bitaxe GitHub repository. You can also find a link to GitHub on our homepage.

Can I contribute to the project?

Absolutely! OSMU welcomes community contributions. You can help by testing, coding, or improving the design. Check GitHub or join the OSMU community for more details.

Does Bitaxe UK develop or modify OSMU hardware?

No, we do not alter the open-source designs. We provide high-quality components and pre-assembled units to make it easier to get started with Bitaxe miners.
